This weekend, I met some friends for brunch at Logan at the Heights. The restaurant is part of the Eat Well DC group that also brought us Merkado Kitchen, Logan Tavern and Grillfish. On the back of the menu is a build your own Bloody Mary list. I chose Absolute, spicy mix, Old Bay, Celery, Green Olive and Cucumber. The Bloody Mary was great, but still a step behind The Starboard restaurant in Dewey Beach, DE. (It may be impossible to beat Ocean front mixed drinks)
Near any redevelopment in a large city, you are going to find high end condos. One cool project in Columbia Heights is Kenyon Square. The developer's website boasts "spacious floor plans, highly functional kitchen layouts, and light-filled rooms with ample storage and closet space". I am glad that the developers incorporated the curved bay windows into the project, which are an architectural staple of the neighborhood. Don't forget that this building is directly on top of the Columbia Heights Metro Station.
There are many one and two bedroom units still available in Kenyon Square, including this one bedroom on the 5th floor at $373,000.00.
