Plaza Lofts 22

The second condominium building in the University Town Center (UTC) is the Plaza Lofts 22. The developer’s website explains:

“Twenty-two of the most unique condominium homes that fit your style. Featuring two-story lofts with soaring ceilings, personal patios, modern bathrooms, and an environmentally responsive green roof located in the ultimate town center.”

I was able to tour the model condo as well as some of the other unfinished units and was very impressed by the architectural design. These condos definitely live up to their hype. It looks like an awesome place to live. Prices range from $494,500.00 to over $750,000.00.

As of now, UTC is still looking for a high-end tenant to occupy the retail space below the condominiums. This begs the question, if you are buying a very expensive condo in Hyattsville, what do you want to live above? A restaurant, a performance theater, a few boutique shops. To be honest, I am not sure what the right answer is. I would love to get feed back from my readers and hear what they think. So what do you want to live above?

It's Time For Your Vacation...Playa Del Carmen

For my girlfriend, Christina’s birthday in September, I told her we could plan a trip to an all-inclusive resort. She did the research and decided on Playa del Carmen, Mexico and the Riu Palace Mexico Resort. The city is on the Yucatan Peninsula about an hour south of Cancun. The resort is part of the Mayan Riviera which sits on the Caribbean Sea.

OK, to be honest this was really a business trip. Recently, we started a business as referring travel agents with YTB Travel Network. My website is Escape Responsibility Vacations at EscapeResponsibility.com. The real purpose of the trip was to explore a new country and be able to sell this travel package to our clients. Oh by the way, as a member of the travel industry you get paid a commission on the travel you book for yourself and others plus discounts and free upgrades from airlines, hotels, etc. We also can sponsor other travelers/vacationers (for example: you) as referring travel agents who receive their own travel websites and reap all of the same benefits. Please read on and tell me if it seemed like we had fun while we were working.

4 Nights of Improvised Comedic Theater

Hi Family, Friends and Neighbors, Starting Friday the 7th (today) I will be performing with my Improv theater troupe, JINX.

Our shows are every Friday in December at 9:30pm at the Source theater in the U Street corridor of DC. Tickets are $12 and can be bought online or at the door. I recommend buying them online as some shows have sold out.
